Farmhouse Retreat

The heart of Applegate Studios, a beautifully restored early 1800's farmhouse independent apartment.

The “Farmhouse Retreat” is a charming farmhouse that was one of the first framed houses (original structure dates approximately to 1810) in the hamlet of Enfield outside of Ithaca proper.
Hand-hewn beams and original wide planked walls are some of the well preserved highlights of the old. Touches such as skylights and a modern kitchen have been added in a way that blends with the old, while making it comfy for us less hardy modern folk.

A mix of antiques and artistic touches contrast the modern “Studio" listing next door and sets the tone for a relaxing stay in a beautiful country setting.
The natural setting is halfway between two of the most beautiful waterfall filled state parks. Treman and Taughannock State parks are both approximately 5 miles away. It is also well situated for wine country tours giving you a good head start towards both the Seneca and Cayuga wine trails.

The Farmhouse is the future writer's or acoustic musician's retreat is now a great spot for a couple, family, or group.

It has a private outdoor/sitting area with a beautiful view facing to the south across a large field towards an 18 hole golf course "next door" (Hillendale), and a rocking chair porch facing north towards the barn.

There is an old school jacuzzi tub in the large master bathroom for after a long day. There is also a small 2 person hot tub that is in a screened quiet zone between the farmhouse and The Studio that is available to use alternating with Studio if not reserved by the Studio.
